Pump vs. Semi

Bobby,
My remarks were not based on headlines or mainstream media. The one for or against the accused is a lawyer and the one deciding the case or instructing the jury of peers is often a lawyer. It is a system designed by lawyers and for lawyers. In biblical myth or story the one who first debated the law of God was the serpant. I think the serpant had the heart of a lawyer. At present the only good I see in the so called legal or lawyer system is that it is better than chaos. I agree that we are way off topic.

I really don't like this, it's fearmongering and it's not true. Judges aren't the bunch of uptight idiots that they are portrayed to be in T.V. and movies.

Some of them are worse, much worse.

In another case in Quebec a man suspected of being a member of organised crime took a cops head off with a shotgun, and had other illegal (to him) guns in the house, judges aquitted him, finding that there was no good reason to do a starlight swat-style raid on a home of a suspected criminal accountant, and the defendant had good reason to think he was in mortal danger.

Case law reference please. And no, I don't believe the HA pretty much do as they please in la belle province. :runaway::runaway:

You truly are canuck lawyer material.

870 - trusted my life to it for 30 years - you have to try to make it malfunction.

Dude, ask in "legalese", or search in "articles" if you're really interested. It was recent and discussed. I'm three weeks from end of term exams, and can't be spending hours looking that up.

And yes, I am Canadian Lawyer Material. I'm a good person, I work hard, and I beleive in Fairness, Freedom, and Justice.

I'm also 32, and working on my second career so I'm not running on youthful enthusiasm that's going to run out of steam after a year or two.

I am thinking of getting a shotgun. Never had one. What I would like to know is why would someone choose a semi vs. pump and vice verse. What are the advantages and disadvantages of each system. Any advice would be appreciated. I have been particularly interested in Fabarms for a long time.

Semi is more versatile. If you want both options get yourself a Benelli M3.

Semi's give you much faster and more accurate follow up shots (and this isn't just for shotguns, it's across the board for all firearms) in hunting situations. Semi's are also more idiot-proof in high stress situations like bear defense. What pumps have going for them is they are slightly cheaper and they can be run in rediculously dirty/fouled conditions that might jam up a semi.

My learned friend Bobby,
You should not have to look it up. You quoted it, so you should have a handle on it. That would be expected of any good lawyer? If your three weeks from end term you should be getting your nose in the books instead of jacking Ice-pick for making a common sense statement. Each case should be tried on its own set of circumstances and no one especially a wannabe lawyer should tell a judge how he should decide because of a previous incident. With the case study you presented some moron might think a precedent has been set that allows a criminal to blow away cops because they called too early. In this forum, please keep the discussion to guns.
