Pumpguns and follow-through

I guess I have to treat every shot as a first shot and "catch up" to the second or third target after completing the first shooting cycle.
That is exactly what you need to do, be it with a shotgun , rifle, or pistol!
it's the reason that 2 shot shooters tend to kill with less ammo than guys using auto loaders!:)

and probably with the exception of shooters like yourself those one shot shooters would put as much meat on the table as anyone else except you of course:p

For the zen masters of the two shooters, do you prefer a SxS or an O/U for flying things?

Way to hi jack a good thread:D I,ll bite!
For over all classy looks that go with my twead and my tie I prefer the SXS. It fits in my arm just perfect and provided I do not have a 12, I can carry one all day. Just kidding!:D:D I don,t have a twead and I have not worn a tie since I retired. The SXS looks classy with jeans and sneakers. Just does. Broke my first 25 when I was 14 with a m-21.

I havn't been doing much killing in the last few years and flying things right now are clay. The SXS is ok but when I get a bit serious and want to eek into the next class, or prevent from slipping into a lower class I prefer an O/U or an auto.

A SxS only Sporting Clay event might be fun. Should get everyone interested across the Country together in one central place and have at it. :)

We tested that theory about 30 years ago on the way down to a shoot!
two of us switched back ad forth hunting puddle ducks with an A5 and a Cooey single shot.
I brought the A5 because " we didn't want to mess around too much"
At the end of the day we had more ducks with less ammo with the Cooey!!
It didn't make me run out and buy a new Cooey however!!

I much prefer an English stocked SXS in a 28 for upland, but my main waterfowl gun is an O/U 20 - black powder being the exception of course!
That being said, as long as it's got two barrels, I'm happy!:D
If I were again going to shoot competitive trap or skeet I'd go with an O/U however.
I never have worn tweeds, but I do however wear a campaign hat at times!:p
