That's a realist attitude from someone that doesn't want hard earned assets arbitrarily taken away. Look at the bias in the media... we are going to be screwed. Am I angry about it? Hell ya! But sticking my head in the sand won't make it go away. I'm angry at every snowflake that voted truedope and his henchmen in. I'm not abandoning guns or buying guns... I am thinking it through smarter. My "high capacity assault weapon" of choice? It's the lever gun. I will fly under the radar with a higher center fire capacity than the others... and I will be able to shoot it anywhere as a non-restricted. More restrictions are coming. We can be as mad as we like, write letters, or try to shame others like you are doing to me... it won't change jack schidtt. The only thing that will change what's going on is a change of government.
You are a delusional defeatist.
If you think your lever gun is somehow allowing you to ‘fly under the radar’ of the gun control left and they will leave you alone, you’re also burying your head in the sand.
If we took a page from those that have bucked the system of bans - I can think of the recent win that recreational and ‘medicinal use’ users of cannabis have made. They have overwhelmed the government and policy with three truths:
1) bans (of any kind) don’t work, and
2) prosecution of a group if it is so large, is not practical and does nothing to curb the thing they are trying to ban.
Prosecution of it costs a rediculous amount of money.
3) Courts do the talking and b/s takes the walking. If government laws suck, they will not pass the scrutiny of the courts, and the courts are where gun owners need to take the fight to the government - tooth and nail.
If Canadian gun owners got their collective sh!t together, we could tie up the courts for decades.
If thousands - tens of thousands of productive members of society (a drop in the bucket of eligible firearms owners) decided to say ‘f*ck it, charge me, throw me in jail and let’s fight these b/s charges in the courts’ - everyday average shooters from all walks of life - it would force the government to make tangable, proper and fair changes to our laws.
