so I purchased a Sight Tool and a bunch of sights back on the Black Friday sale.

i had been planning to do it for a while.... well forever truth be told.
ive historically only ever run stock sights on my pistols but i replaced a broke front on a 1911 a couple years back and that opened my eyes to the idea of upgrading sights.
but, being cheap i didnt do it to any of my other pistols... i just wished.

so fast forward to this year and i saw a picture of a set of Ameriglow Agent sights that a fella put on his G19X and i was entranced with them!

so i decided this year was the year, i was gonna do it!

so i purchased a sight tool and a set of the Ameriglow Agent sights for my G19X and a set of suppressor height sights for my G40 so i could co-witness through the red dot.

tonight everything arrived, the sights, the tool, everything fell into my lap.

so i sat down out in the shop and went to work.
it was surprisingly easy to do and i feel silly now waiting all these years to upgrade my sights!

i think what i will do is test out these and see if i like them and then start to pick up more sights when they come on sale.
both sets i put on have that Tritium night sight vials which is new for me, never had night sights before!

anyways if anyone is on the fence, get off!
its super easy and the results are fantastic!!!!

Looks like you had some fun with the new purchase.

I have the MGW sight pusher for Glocks and it makes changing rear sights super easy. What did that unit end up costing?

it was on sale with Brownells @120US so with shipping and exchange it was around $200.
a lot of that was Visa, even with the dollar being over $0.75 they charged me like 40 some odd % on the exchange.
all the ones i could find in Canada where going for $250 - 280 - 350
so even with the importing and shipping i saved some coin.

I like the way you have that setup on your vise.

2 questions.

1. How wide the part that fits into the vise?

2. Shipping was approximately 30-40 USD? I see that brownells still has them on sale for 119 and i'm kinda tempted.

Thanks

Great review! I've wanted to do the same thing to alot of my pistols ad well, but im not paying a gun Smith to do it as I'm somewhat cheap as well, great to hear that the wheeler engineering works fabulous too, i think I'll take a leap in the new year and purchase one myself

Nice work the sights look wicked!

I am not a glock fellow, but like that 40 is neat, I have the same red dot on my 45, Have a Sig with night sights, but don't see much point up here.
I just shoot paper most of the time

the 40 is a project that ive been picking away at.
i decided i wanted to a) get a gun you dont see much in a big caliber and b) 'pimp' it out with some add on's that will serve a purpose and also look neat.

so far im very happy with it!
still have a couple things to do to it before ill call the project done......

1) you dont have to put it in a vice, i didnt for my 19X, i put the 40 in the vice just to see how it worked (and also because it looked like it belonged in a vice because of the way the base is cut) the width of the base is 2 1/2" by 3 3/4"
2) $29.27USD for air priority (just pulled up my invoice to check for ya)
