Some pellet tails seem loose in the breach while others are tight and you run the risk of damaging them, Ive used pellet seating tools to make sure the pellets are seated squarely to the breach, some are pushed into the breach and running the risk of a pellet getting stuck in the barrel, this isnt too bad if this happens on a break barrel, the loose ones can cause all kinds of accuracy errors so Ive used a flaring tool to see if that pellet would create a better grouping. with 500 pellets in a tin that's a lot of flaring to do, my point is there is such a choice of pellets with varying weights that would cause accuracy issues to an otherwise very accurate gun not taking into account the human factor
