Will springfield modify the magazines it ships with your M1A to hold only 5 if you purchase directly from them? Or can you even purchase directly from them in Canada?
 
SA has a Canadian distributor FN Sports. They do not ship direct. However, your local dealer can order from FN Sports without problem.

F**K FN Sport's. They are the worst low life pieces of .... in this country with regard to firearms. :bangHead:

Check the American price, price out Questar bringing it in, and then order it from there.

You will order it from your dealer through FN Sports, and 6 months later you wont have a rifle in your hands yet. Unless you make them look like idiots in a public place, and then they will get off their ass and mail you the rifle they have had on the shelf the entire time. :bangHead:

Springfield has Canadian distributors. It's highly unlikely they'll sell directly to you for this reason. They certainly won't bother pinning mags.

What's the problem with FN sports?, I have an order with them that I wait anxiously!

I already heard some rumors that they concentrate on LE contracts and don't really care about civilians. Is this the issue?
 
I don't think the real Springfield M1A's are coming into the country anymore. Wolverine hasn't had an order in quite sometime (2 years?). I think the state department has them on the no go list. The mags are special order usually and are just the short ones...not 20's pinned to 5.

If anyone knows for certain that NEW Springfield rifles are coming in, please post your source. (discounting one time personal imports)

Well 5 months of the dealer harassing FN Sports to get me my gun they said was going to take 3-5 weeks. In the 5th month, which happened to be with the Sportsman show in Toronto, it took me making a ass out of them to get one of the guys to finally get off their ass and get me my gun. Funny how they claimed the gun needs to be imported yadda yadda yadda and it will take 3-5 weeks IF they have one going to be imported otherwise 3 months. And I managed to get the gun at the dealer after that in 3 days. And I didn't get my full order, just the gun to boot! :mad:

So yes F**K FN Sports. :bangHead:

Springfield Armory Inc M1A rifles are not used by any military, save for a couple of SMALL contracts for Special Operations in the US and Israel that seem to be legitimate based on photographic evidence on various websites and news sites over time.
