Purchasing too many pistols

I remember a report about someone who was buying handguns and selling them to people who shouldn't have them.

He bought something like 83 guns in 6 months before someone said hey that's a lot of guns for one person and looked into it.

So you might attract attention, which would probably get you a phone call from the CFO. Or you might need to buy 20 times what you have to draw attention....

Edit : 47 guns in 5 months, 43 of which were sold to a "friend" who was acting as a middle man. At least 30 of these are unrecovered still.

I have a number of handguns and other than the RCMP knowing I have them, it has never been an issue, so far. One interesting thing I found is when my wife phoned 911 when we had an attempted break in, the 911 operator phoned back in less than 60 seconds and asked where our firearms were, were any loaded, were they locked up etc. However, when the RCMP arrived, they didn't ask or mention it. I think they must have a protocol on knowing what they could face before they arrive on scene. If the CFO wants to do an inspection, I believe they have to give you notice, at least I believe that's the case.

The same thing has happened to me. I got into a car accident about 2 years back (no one else involved, just lost control of the car Ina gravel road and ended up in a ditch) and when I called the police to report it, they asked my if I had any firearms or ammo in the car. I told them I didn't but 3 cruisers showed up anyways.

Yep...keeping Canada post and the cfo officers pretty busy just now....it's part of a job creation scheme....lol
