PURDY

Very nice but far above my budget.
:)
Recently acquired a 12ga Purdey SxS. Until this purchase, I would classify what I have in, rifles, shotguns and handguns, as decent quality hunting and shooting firearms. What a friend of mine had, leans more toward exotic and pricey. My friend ended up in hospital with serious health issues where I stopped in to visit him on a number of occasions. Things, health wise, deterioriated to the point where he decided to go with the MAID as an end. On a couple of my visits, he asked if I was interested in any of his firearms. Him, being a left hander, kind of eliminated rifles and some of his shotguns. However, he did offer me his Purdey 12ga SxS, a couple of flats of ammo, an unused Purdey shotgun cleaning kit and a book titled Purdey's, The Guns And The Family. Far more than pricey than my other firearms but I plan to take it out for Ruff Grouse locally a few times a season, (y)and remember him when I do so.

Sorry for the loss of your friend. I've always found it can be tough to received something of great value at the passing of a friend or loved one but as you say you can make whatever it is a tribute to them.

In a way your friend still gets to go hunting thru you.
