Added a Kodiak Defense Rail and Vortex Venom 3MOA red dot sight. That's as tactical she's gonna get. I was going to do the Bi Pod crap but the bayonet bi-pod looks terrible.

Next is a BC tactical mount, red dot sight, install bayonet bi-pod, and install a short magpul rail, magpul vertical grip, and finally I may modify the trigger. I did it before to a Russian SKS and wow it made the trigger 3.5lb two stage pull. No I won't be changing the stock to an aftermarket stock. I happen to like the original stock it comes in. I'll put the drill holes for the under rail in the channel for the bayonet. That way when ever the day I change it all back, the holes will be hidden by the bayonet and the only noticeable bubbaing done is the bolt mod which I highly recommend to anyone who wants to run Tapco mags. It can still all be changed back to original configuration however I know it can never truly be original. I have been a purist for about 6 or 7 years now. But I have ventured down the path of bubba. I'm sorry fellow purists. Oh yea a different sing will be in order as well. Those Chinese swivel location is great for carrying the rifle on your back but it sucks when shooting it with a Russian SKS sling. I tried an Allen Tactical sling but its too damn long.

How fast can those mags be changed? Faster than adding 5 rounds with a stripper clip?

Bolt mod. He shave off the bottom rails on the bolt, it's suppose to allow mag changes with the bokt forward

Aha! You are going rogue, I was afraid you were turning a shade of French red. All of my SKS are original still, but I also want to Bubba at least one of them.

I've had 6 of them and never thought of going bubba ninja on one. My CZ 858 is on the chopping block on the EE and this SKS is the only other semi auto centerfire I got so decided Id try it out on this one.

For 5 rounds I'm not sure. I know how to use the charging clips with the Tapco mags so once I can get out and actually shoot the gun I'll maybe film switching from mag change and charging clips and see what's faster. The bolt mod is more for if the gun has a double feed failure. Some double feeds require to pull the mag before you can pull the bolt back which is why the factory mag has a drop plate. The gun will be able to be changed back to look original but the evidence of bubba will romaine lettuce.

Works really well too. With the addition of filing the ridge on the back of the mags makes it very slick.
