Put a $30 Chinese scope on a War-time Mosin

Bought this Mosin 2 weeks ago, because I wanna get a backup barrel for my Mosin sniper. It is war time Mosin, Machine mark everywhere but the bore is like new. I found a Simmons handgun scope, (4x, 20 inches eye relief, paralax free at 50y) in my garage so I decide to put it on this Mosin just for killing some time. The scope is holding zero and clear, because it mean to handle some powerful handgun cartridge. Only drawback is this rifle become to the ugliest gun I have ever seen. here is some picture.
Ammo I used is some Chinese surplus and Russian steel ammo. 100 yard with a 4x Chinese scope. Only thing I did to gun is clean the bore.

Ok, as you can see, vertical stringing is the problem here, but I cannt put back upper handguard because the scope mount because of the super long eye relief of scope. Should I free float the barrel or do a bedding job?

Still pretty good grouping the lower handguard may be in danger of snapping off without the upper in place, you could try wrapping a thin piece of cork around the guard 4/5 of the way out and temporarily taping it with some nice looking duct tape or something, might help but at least won't snap off the guard!

Ye that could be a danger. The lower handguard looks like pretty weak. I will try find a shorter relief scope then put back upper handguard. Another problem I have is front sight is too tight to be removed. It is not moving no matter how hard I punch it. Any idea? I really appreciate it.
 
It will look a hell of a lot uglier but remove the upper handguard and lightly sand out the barrel channel to float the barrel.
Leave the upper handguard off completely.
You will see some improvements in consistency. It's hard to tune harmonics on any surplus rifle as their designs were meant to make them robust and heavy duty not inherently accurate.
Their designs hamper precision by default.
She may not look pretty but that's fine shooting for a run of the mill mosin and surplus ammo. Try what I said above and see if it doesn't shrink up the groups a bit.

I believe he already did remove the upper hand guard. I thought a thin cork sheet. Taped on or something so the lower doesn't snap off.

sure! That is what i am going to do right now. I will update the result.
There are 2 reasons I dont wanna put a conventional scope mount on it: first one is that I feel sorry to do any permanent modifications to those heroic weapon which was being hold by a soldier and he might died with this Mosin. Second reason is I just lost my dremel and bits=。=

The reason I never explained most of the details is because they are already on youtube, but thanks for watching them.
Check out Iraqveteran8888. He goes into all the details except rebarreling.
Installing a new or different barrel on a Mosin requires a lathe and reamer to time it all with an extractor cut. Not a simple job.
