Im debating on selling my Ruger GP 100 SS 4.2 inch. It is good condition with perfect lock up and timing. Although there is some scorch marks on the front of the cylinder that I cant seem to remove. Truth be told I haven't tried all that hard yet either. Round count is approximately 200 rounds of .38 special and 357 magnum combined. Is 550$ reasonable on the open market? Its hard to get a proper valuation of selling price as there isn't to many EE adds to get a idea what the going rate. I know with the EE mark up of 237% on used firearms I should be asking a lot more, but im trying to be reasonable.

Please don't contact me to make a offer either. Like I said im only debating at this point. Thanks for any advice.

Just establish a fair price from what you paid for it based upon availability and shape don't include tax and it will sell ..
Maybe cost less 15%

I paid $625 shipped for one about 6 months ago in the condition yours is in. I thought that was fair. Without risking getting people peed off at me for raising the price I would say that $550 is a bit low. I can guarantee that if you list it for $550 it'll be gone in 30 minutes or less.

$550 plus shipping, or $600 shipped would be a fair price and would sell pretty quickly I bet. My buddy got one off the EE with a similar round count for $575 shipped last month.

$550 is more than reasonable, being they usually go for about $699. I've not sold any of my guns yet...but my general rule of thumb was always 75% of current asking price which puts your $550 pretty much on the spot. :)

Ha, i'm in the market for one of two revolvers (One being a blued gp100) If i bought used, i would pay about 600shipped. for new firearms i generally pay -50$ off retail prices if its in near perfect shape..
Maybe retail price shipped if its immaculate.
Taxes i think no matter what are the original purchasers loss
