For now anyways, always had somewhat rather dismal scores with the 686 at Sporting Clays, with some ribbing from my semi auto squad mate and research, I picked up this Xcel Sporting, got a local coach that is very well respected around here and he fitted the gun for me. In fairness, everything I did for adjustment on the 686 was bass ackwards to what he did in regards to LOP and such. I don’t like to sell things so the 686 will get the same in a year or so.
I figure with a significant jump in scores, I’m sticking with what works for now and honing in on techniques, currently shooting sustained lead when possible, until I jack something up and scramble with a pull thru. Going to break down for a membership at one of the bigger clubs here as my current range only has a 5 stand setup and a skeet field and not all the stations are always functional.
Been too lazy to get the Brileys oversized charge handle and release on, hopefully this weekend, dang game is pretty addicting and was just at a range that had a Helice setup, will be steering clear until I’m more refined before giving that a go.
