I have a PWS 14.5” Sage Dynamics Edition on order. I understand that it uses the Mk1 style rail.

My question is that with regards to the rail shape and geometry, is it similar to a Geissele Mk8 rail with its “+” shape, or is it something different entirely?

When compared to Geissele rails, which is it most comparable to?

Thanks!

PWS MK1 is PWS's own proprietary design, so it is different than the Geissle MK8. However a handrail is just a polygonal tube with bunch of slots cut on the side of it they all look similar to one another without reading the logo.

Understood! But is it more similar to a Mk8 or a Mk14?

If you referring the rail cross sections, The PWS is more a diamond shape than a MK8's bloated cross or a MK14's octagon.

Makes sense! The reason I’m asking is that I want all my rails to be similar across all my rifles in terms of feels. Don’t know if I should go with a Mk8 or a Mk14 for my other rifle to make it comparable to the PWS MK1?
