PWS MK110 and Elcan OS4 review

PWS has decided to go with a long stroke piston, as opposed to the regular short stroke piston used by most AR piston guns. This is supposed to prevent carrier tilt.
This will not prevent carrier tilt, it will only minimize it. The piston is still exerting a force against the recoil spring that is off of it's travel axis.

Actually depending on the diameters of the piston and the upper channel it can effectively remove it, carrier tilt is really only an issue when the carrier is unlock and off axis tilt works on the bolt and the cam pin.
The cosmetic issues on the buffer tube are inconsequential in the grand scheme, despite a lot of pistol manufacturers trying to get you to beleive that is all there is...

very nice review. Educational and loaded with useful and relevent information. Very handy for me as my next roomate will be an AR. Looking forward to the Tavor review. Keep up the good work.

pws design their ar-15 with perfect diameters of their piston and piston channel/tube to
effectively eliminate the carrire tilt, tested at 20.000 rds with no issues.
