I was a card # away from buying that one.... upon a closer look it was in rough shape, whoever had it had no idea how to care for it or that it was ever anything more than a "gun". The scratches were nasty, looked like they took some sort of abrasive to it to try and clean it.
If it was stainless it could have been polished up, but the nickel finish was ruined. I was surfing GN that night, hit "new posts" and it popped up only 3 minutes old ! lol
The only way to repair it would have been send it somewhere to be totally refinished.... cost $$$$$ ?????? Passed on that one

Actually it was like new. Also it was an ultimate stainless.

Then there's the separate grip market. People selling I frame wooden grips panels and passing them off for original Python grips.
