Python value

Good day, would like to know the value of colt pythons blue, not chromed or SS, from base value to mint value, thanks.

Anywhere from ~$1500 for a replacement grips beater to ~$3000+ for a mint/like new matching example in box with all factory stuff in restricted form. If a rare version I.e. Hunter with 8” tube and scope it could possibly be worth ~$4000+ to the right buyer.

^^^ Assduming barrel is longer than 4".

I paid $900 for a nice stainless 4" and may have over paid.

Yup, prices quoted are for restricted class. Prohib Pythons would be in the ~$500 range for a clean Royal Blue to ~$1200 for a mint Bright Stainless finish.

I would say between $700-$900 for a brushed stainless 12(6) Python depending on condition is about right.

I believe a non restricted barrel can be brought up from the US for a reasonable price. You just need to pay a broker for the services.

TURF THE LIBERALS IN 2019

Liberals really like POOR people, they're making more of them every day

If you can't vote CPC, stay at home in protest

No such thing as non restricted barrel, you probably mean non prohibited:p
Never know. We could be getting these non-restricted Pythons soon lol

That would still be a pistol, what ever the hell that is?
I sold a good 6" 1200.oo blue, a great r.blue 8" hunter no scope $2700.oo last year or so.
These where to a good long time customer so price less than I could have got here.
I pasted on a nice 4 in king cobra while back, should have bought it, but have done that many times over the years.
I also remember back in the "old days" selling lots for 700.oo.

This is , I believe , what a Legal Handgun is in England . Min. of a 12" barrel & 24" Min. overall length .
Yes ,,,,,,,, that rod behind the grip makes the 24" Min. length .

Lately. i bought my first snake gun, a King Cobra 6 inch mirror bright SS BNIB, look it never was fired and i am impress with the beauty and the smooth action, price was good at 1600.00, along the road i may get a Python if i can find one BNIB.

I saw that in box with papers “excellent condition” BSS King Cobra going for $1699 at Epps a few weeks ago when it was first listed, right before you bought it a couple hours later JP. You should show us that beauty, looks like a nice score and it was priced right.

For the next month i am in New Hampshire, when i come back, i will take some pictures, this is the one from Epps.

Yes and let’s hope we are not headed down a similar path.

I'd agree with Harry Callahan. From what I've seen the average value of a decent blued Python is in the 2K to low 2's range......more with original box, papers etc.

If anyone out there wants a gun like this but can't justify the skyrocketing price of the Pythons, I would strongly consider the S&W performance center models.

No they don't have the prestige as they're not used on The Walking Dead, but Dirty Harry isn't that bad, either, and the actions are surprisingly smooth.

Thanks bigi,

Looking at JP’s KC it looks like it is a brushed stainless that got an aftermarket bright finish. Both side of the trigger edges and complete hammer are polished on a factory BSS job. Can’t clearly see, but these two parts are looking brushed rather than polished.

JP, if possible, show us some more detailed pics so we can confirm. I know you had posted some more initially but only one shows now.
