Trying to compare the two is like trying to compare a pick-up truck to a sports car.....a Ford F-150 to a Mustang. They are made by the same company but the comparison ends there.
Both guns are fine. The care taken with the Pythons was much greater than that taken with the King Cobra, plus the internals are different. Just for grins, here's a photo of my 40 year old Python, bought NIB in `65:
It was my duty gun from `65 to `85. After 20 years of daily holster wear, it needed re-blueing, so a buddy did it for me. The grips are Mustangs but I still have the originals. The line visible from the frame window to the grip is a reflection, not an imperfection.
