I need help I'm trying to determine OAL of this cartridge in my 9.3x62 Husky. I made a split case and placed a 250 gr TSX bullet in the mouth of the case. With the test bullet seated in my split case, I insert the round into the chamber. The rifling should push the bullet deeper into the case. Then I carefully extract the round without disturbing the bullet.
When I pulled it out it didn't seem seated at all, it measured 3.598":
As you could see by the photo it not even at the first ring. Anyone have any ideas if this is correct? At this length if I follow the reloading instructions to back it off 0.050" from the rifling it probably would not fit in my magazine or eject properly. Any insight into this would be great. Thanks in advance.
*edit* P.S. Should I just seat it until in just fits in the magazine and ejects properly? Will it have any effect on accuracy being so far from the lands?
