Q about M&P9

This may seem like a ridiculous question, but I have owned a M&P9 for awhile now, and I have no idea what the little orange do-dad that comes in the case is for. Can't find anything in the book and I have searched to no avail.

Anyone with some insight?

Its a empty chamber flag. You stick the cone part in the chamber let the slide close. The action will stay open a bit and the L peice will stick out the ejection port.

If you mean thing that came in th ejector port? Its to show that the chamber is empty.

It is an empty chamber 'flag'. Goes in the chamber to give immediate visual reference there is nothing 'up the spout'.

Thanks. I slipped it in the chanber once but thought it was kind of odd. Our range doesn't require it, but it I can see that it's an alright idea.

I often use mine when transporting. Just a little reasurrance when I take it out of the box.
