Q5 Match SF is it worth it?

Ah gotcha. Not convinced on Cerecote as a lasting finish but could chase a stainless down the street if one appeared. Nothing wrong with the black finish either but I do like stainless for the wet weather we get here near the coast.

Great ! Now we are going to hear from all those guys who have an opinion about stainless rusting or finishes wearing off. Nooooooooo. Back to the Q5 PLEASE.

ok i prefer the optic ready Xfive 320 SIG. over the polymer version of the PPQ due to its heavier weight. Might be a less expensive option than the PPQ SF. For IDPA and IPSC we are not exactly shooting Olympic Free Pistol. The XFive is just as capable as the PPQ in hitting an 8" circle at 15 yards using an Optic as the PPQ is I would think. There is about a grand difference in price. The XFive may not be as nice but it might just be as effective.

I did take my Optic off my PPQ Match and put it on the XFive as I found the XFive less bouncy on recoil for me.

Anything is only worth what people willing to pay for it, if nobody buys it at $2049 guaranteed price will drop. Just look at how people like getting fleeced at their local car dealership, $100,000 dollar trucks are normal now WTF, as long as people buy them they will keep raising the prices. Purchasing most things has more to do with EGO than what the crap is actually worth, bragging rights!

Yup....100K trucks made in Mexico for 18K.

I don't think I could ever spend over 1000 bucks on a pistol, even if I was rich. The sig 320 s and the glocks just do anything i need from a pistol.

What holster options are currently available? I'm going to call Comp-Tac Monday...

Just about every major holster maker has one for the plastic frame version, but it will take some time before we know if the steel frame requires a different holster since it has a longer dust cover. Solely Canadian makes a very solid holster but Bladetech and Ghost and DAA ( I think ) and Red hill Tactical all have them for the plastic version.

Wow. How convincing. I have now decided more than ever that the PPQ SF is the perfect pistol for me. Fortunately I don't need someone else telling me which one they like best, and I don't see the value in posting all the totally positive reviews of the SF version. Again, I have enough experience to know what will work for me and I can afford the price. The science is settled. The PPQ SF has to be the most well thought out pistol to hit the market in years . Possibly the perfect pistol. Can't wait to get mine.
