quad accessories for hunting..

Why run on pavement! Any tire will wear quickly asphalt.

Mud Lites and the Swamp Lites are good choices- the centre lug helps smoothen the ride on hard packed trails.. So too are the Mud Bugs if you're in a bit mire mud.

As for other accessories: Warn Winch Kit with snatch block, coil of good rope, some spare tie downs and bungies, small hatchet, fire starter, tire repair kit, disposable camera (as a backup)

Because some of the trails I need to get to around here involves me driving down the side of the highway "and yes it is legal, checked with the OPP before anyone tries to blast me :)"

Here are some pictures of the Grizzly the day I brought it home "well after getting it extremely muddy and washing it down" lol

I just picked up another one the other day, 2005 Kodiak, but dont have pictures taken of it yet.

I just bought a brand new 2008 Yamaha Grizzly, but I need to get me a gun boot for her, just put on a Warn winch, thinking on some ITP Mudlites but hear they wear down rather quickly on gravel and pavement ??

i envy you!!! btw the mudlites are good tires all mud tires wear if you drive them on pavement to much.

btw i used to think mud bugs sucked, they really dont good buy

I bought the quad trailer for my 450 Kodiak this spring and now my wife uses it constantly on the farm. She can't believe how handy it is for the daily chores. I mentioned getting a second quad and she offered no arguments. Best way I've found to upgrade hunting gear :dancingbanana:

The Kodiaks are nice. I have a 2005 450 Kodiak as well.

Both need some nice meats on them though. I was watching Wild TV last night on the dish and they had a show on ATV tires and what are the best. And out of them all the Maxxis Mud Bugs we're the highest rated. Weird, because they never tested the ITP Mud Lites...

I think I will just keep the stock tires on there until I burn them out before replacing them. Where I intend to do a lot of hunting this fall the ground aint that bad. Picked up a ##### basket for the Grizzly, it holds a gas can and has lots of storage inside.

For an all around tire you should check out the Outlaw MST. Very smooth on the trail and road and awesome in the soup.

I second the mst, great tire I have them on my outty 800.they wear much better than the mudlites. The 589 's are also a great tire and wear very well even on some pavement.

Sweet. I would like to see a set in person. I wonder if my Yamaha dealer can get them.. hmm, Thanks guys I will definately check those out.

Grit, what is the tread depth on those puppies? What catches my interest with the Outlaws is the side wall tread for winter driving.

Please let me know if you can.
Thanks

hmm.

How is the rubber on them? soft? medium? hard? I think the Mud Bugs have 1 1/2" depth. But what I like about the Outlaws is that they have the tread on the sides and the fact they they are an all season tire.

It is hard to get a new tire when you cant see them in person.
