Quad rail help

I got a norc ar with a 14.5 barrel (carbine gas system) and want to put a Free floating rail on it, was looking at the mid length rails, but they say for use in mid length gas tube systems. Can i use it with my carbine system?Why does it matter which length system I have? If in have a low profile gas block can I still use this?

You would have to remove the FSB & replace it with a LP Gas Block. Running a Carbine length gas system under a Mid-Length Rail system is no problem at all.

Thanks, that's what I thought. Just threw me off when it said "for mid length gas systems" I didn't know why it would matter, as long as you had a low profile gas block which almost all FF quad rails require
