Quads for hunting

That's a vote for me having a bad back and not being able to lift the deer up to the back rack.

Anything else you want to know dips**t???
savage17hmr just got pwned.:D

Didn't mean to stir the pot, just a comment. Any machine is good as long as it dosen't break down in the bush.
win70: no hard feelings, if I see you pulling a deer in the woods, I'll help you put it on the rack.

It's cool..

I only had to drag that deer about 400yds.If the distance would have been a lot farther then yes I would have gone for help to load it on the rack.

LOL, if i recall correctly don't you still own an old honda 300 that you were still using a little over a year ago?

Ya, ya got me. Couldn't sell it. We've been through too much together. :p

Front brakes are one big clump of rust, water in the back drum, cv's are singing sweet nothings when I'm plowing snow and, and, and......... but, I have three youngsters coming up that need a bullet proof quad and the 300 fits the bill.

Time to put some $$ into the ol red bush machine (brake conversion first;) )

2006 Bombadier Outlander 800 Max with 27 inch rims and tires. Excellent ground clearence and more that enough power to move you, a buddy and your kill out of the bush. The 800 is more power than I need and I would totally buy another one... :D

Most ATV'ers die from being crushed by their 600lb + bikes.

Just another useless fact to consider when buying a bike

Wonder if you will have the same opinion in two years TOXIC.My chum works at a dealership and told me not to buy one.So I didnt.

those little 300's were indestructable, I used them a lot in forestry and the places you could go. Great little machines.

I can't recall how many times I had to redo the CV boots. Some of the crews drove them hard hard hard.

And as field chief I ended up fixing most of the problems on days off

After all those pictures of quads hauling out kills I had to add mine. Here's a great old hunting quad, best in their day, still works great.:D

oh wow...you can fit two does on your quad?????
are we supposed to be impressed by your picture? :) ;)

:D now now, no need to get nasty

my point is that..... well I really don't have a point, its just a good picture. :D

actually almost any quad is better then having to drag your game back to the road :)

Just get something that you can putt along the trails with comfortably and slow enough to be able to have a good look.

I've seen lots of guys out on their 600cc and bigger machines tearing around looking for game, but unless its standing in the middle of the trail they don't see anything.

I just like Honda's :D

Nice, but just don't get stuck. We burned out a winch and I broke my tow rope trying to pull one out. Heavy buggers!

With the mention of 600cc and bigger, I do know those big machines heat up in a hurry if driving slow (such as with hunting!). A 500cc would be a good choice for all around work/play/hunt machine.
