Slowly working my way through various bunches of ammo to
see what works best in a new T-bolt.

So far, exhausted CCI's line ... Green Tag out in front.
Lesser stuff goin' to the kid down the road for his Ruger ! )

Next up ... RWS Target & Match to be followed by
Lapua Super Club, Master, Midas L and Midas M,
then Eley Club, Tenex & Tenex Ultimate EPS and
Match EPS (when it comes in)

Anyone able to suggest any other worthy
candidates that THEY HAVE HAD
(first hand, not heresay) good success with ???
 
I really liked the Eley Club. I found it more quiet than any subsoinc round I have shot and it has been the most accurate in my rifle. Pricey though but worth it.
 
Eley Target Rifle (yellow top) works best for me, Anschutz 64.

I also tried Eley Club (orange top), Lapua Super club?, Green tag, and a bunch of HV stuff. Green tag was as accurate or better then the Eley but was more expensive...

Try the less expensive CCI "standard velocity". It's probably as good as GT.

Lapua's lowest priced "Standard club" seems pretty good in many rifles.
 
Really had good luck with Eley Club Extra..orange top and Lapua standard club in the 500 round bulk pack can.
PMC Match seems to be working fairly well too, but it is stamped right on the box for bolt action rifles only, so this may rule out the 10/22's, go figure.
Don't get caught up in the Wolf match ammo game, it is identical to lapua standard club.:canadaFlag:
 
In my benchrest .22's, Eley EPS works the best. What do you mean my long range?? 100 yards? With my #1 benchrest gun I can average about .85" for 10 shots at 100 yards...

What are your expectations for consistency out of your T-Bolt?
I have just had an Anschutz 1712 action bedded into a Robertson/Pharr
stock that shoots under 1" regularly at 100m with SK Standard Plus.
This ammo is equivalent to Lapua Super Club. I don't see the point in trying
to make it shoot better when my off hand hold isn't better than about 4MOA.
I know T-Bolts are good rifles but your question is a little open ended.

Looking for ammo that prints 1/2" or better at 50m.

Tried a 1/2 doz.of CCI's stuff. Several groups of
Green Tag averaging 5/8" outperforms the others.

Just looking to see if there is something more consistent & accurate,
and don't mind trying a number of the premium brands to find it.
 
I have had outstanding performance with the Winchester Sepreme match. Usually around $15/100. This stuff outperformed all Eley stuff and Federal UGMM. The second best thing out of my rifles is the Federal Gold Medal Target stuff at $4/50.
 
You can get cheaper (if that's a word that can be used in the same sentence as) Eley. The trick to getting Eley Club to shoot as good as Tennex is a rim thickness gauge.
 
This is using Winchester Dynapoint hunting ammo. Two shots are almost in one hole at the bottom. Two are touching, one opened it up to the left, and the sixth shot was a different shot from the group. There's four more walking the shots in, under the rifle. The total size measures 3/4" for five shots at fifty yards, in a hell of a cross wind. The four shots, minus the flier was under a half inch.

As I mentioned, Eley EPS works well in my benchrest guns. There are others that work good as well, such as Lapua superclub but I do have more flyers with that ammo. Rim sorting Eley club IMO is NOT going to make it shoot as good as Eley Tenex. It may help, but its not going to get it that good.

However, out of a sporter gun where the chamber is larger and longer you might find that an ammunition like Eley EPS may not work as well. I have found that Lapua superclub works well in all of my more sporter type guns such as my CZ and Cooey, ect.
