Hey guys, I'm looking for an AK picatinny scope mount, either the receiver rail clamp on style or rear sight block or gas tube mount. It's time sensitive, so looking for a source in Canada. TIA.

I went with RS Regulate which clamps onto a standard AK side rail. CTC supplies has the full length lower and pic rail upper in stock right now so check those out.

Where did you source the AK side rail? Can you post photos of your install?

I personally recommend the NPZ Universal AK mount (there's an old and newer model, but both are effectively the same). A bit heavy, but effectively indestructible. I tried a lot of different mounts but I was only satisfied once I decided to stop wasting money piecemeal, bite the bullet, and buy a genuine mount. Got it off ebay, though you might have trouble finding them now.
You can find more information at russianoptics.net/alpha_npz.html

Yah Belarusian products may be the only reliable way to go for now. Wouldnt be surprised if Russian stuff gets sold out of Belarus as well.

March 16, weird that they would proactively sanction Belerus like that even tho they havent invaded.

why would you find that weird? i dont understand.

in the link it says : On February 24, 2022, without provocation, Russian forces initiated a comprehensive invasion of Ukraine, including from Belarusian territory. The Belarusian regime aided and abetted this egregious step, which is a blatant violation of international law and the rules-based international order. The attacks have caused widespread devastation of Ukrainian infrastructure and property, and unnecessary deaths of Ukrainians, particularly civilians.

in north america, the getaway driver who aided and abetted a bank robbery would be charged for the same offense even tho he never entered the bank.

IMO, by sanctioning them prematurely like that, the west is basically encouraging them to join in militarily cus they now have nothing left to lose.

Germany moved thru neutral countrys during WW2, warships and Uboats on both side refitted at neutral ports.

in the link: This includes military exercises in Belarus that included the participation of Belarusian Armed Forces. Russia and Belarus held a joint military exercise from February 10 to 20, 2022. However, on February 20, 2022, Russia extended the joint military exercise with Belarus and announced that Russian troops would not leave Belarus (4 days later they invaded).

now, thats weird, you are actually saying belarus is a neutral country, it was never a neutral country, never declared themself as a neutral country and their action prior to the invasion kinda says that.

belarus had nothing to lose but also the west had nothing to gain by waiting.

Ordered a PO3.5X21P from America off Amazon.ca i have my doubts that it will actually come from America but rather from Belarus. Will be interested to see if it makes it. Read more into the extent of the sanctions on Belarus. Its pretty messy and complicated for me to understand but it looks like Canadas sanctions apply to listed individuals, government institutions and listed Companys. Zenit-BelOMO doesnt appear to be one of them.

Belarus's cooperation allowed the troops to come from within its borders that would eventually commit murder of tied and bound civilians in Buchau, a war crime that is currently being documented. This is quid pro quo for Putin sending in troops to suppress protests against the rigged Belarussian election. Until Belarussia withdraws it's support from Russia, they should damn well suffer the same economic consequences. Slava Ukraini!
