quality brass shortage for your precision rifle...here's an idea

Can you please send us a receipt so we can track this down, info@hirschprecision.com or have the new owner send samples to us?

Will refrain from comment that USA brass is better than Lapua!

Regards,

Peter

Was bought well over a year ago. I toss receipts pretty much as soon as I get something home. Can't remember the new owners name on here. Not even sure where I bought the brass from.

To bad we can't examine. We have had zero substantiated complaints or returns for 7mm-08 brass.

Back to OP, just spent the week with Lapua Finland rep at Canadian International Sniper Concentration and there was no commitment for 300 WM, but at least didn't say it would not happen.

Regards,

Peter

Mostly, Lapua brass I have used has been very consistent and of uniform thickness. An exception was a box of 6.5x47 brass I got about eight years ago. I have used quite a lot of 6.5x55 brass and all has been great. I am slightly amused when I realize that the best score I have fired was done using some neck turned Remington brass which was, by and large, terrible brass. My very best 308 shoots about the same regardless of the brand of brass used. The only difference is that I seldom have to cull out a piece of Lapua brass while it is necessary to do so with Winchester from time to time. Federal brass is uniform but soft. Lake City Match is uniform and tough but a little lower in capacity.
Ultimately, while I think Lapua brass is great, the availability of that brass has no influence on my choice of cartridge.

Not to hijack the thread.....Peter , who won the CISC this year and how did Canada fair if they didn't win ?

I picked up some Nosler 7rm, had some Cabela's gift cards otherwise I probably never would have considered it.
It's the most consistent weight I've come across... I weighed half of them and there was a 1gr difference between the lightest and heaviest, I'm not even that fussy when weight sorting lol.
So out of the box they have deburred flash holes, trimmed to length, inside chamfered, and weight sorted to 1gr... can't say anything bad at this point. Have them loaded up, we'll see how long they last.

I got some 7mm08 lapua brass from you about a year ago. It is the most consistent brass I have ever seen. It is even better than my lapua 6.5x47 brass and I think it's even tougher which is hard to believe. Maybe I got lucky but my experience has always been very positive with lapua brass.
