Quality of Paraordnance 1911

Just got the "GI Expert."
For an entry level weapon, I have no complaints so far. Only put 100 rounds of commercially reloaded American Eagle ammunition through it, but it functioned flawlessly.

I have the same. For an entry level it does well. Although it has had some strange stoppages, that I'm not 100% sure to be ammo related (my own reloads, could be the ammo, but it works fine in my glock). It's never had any hiccups with factory ammo, which is the only thing I'd use in any sort of "Has to work" scenario. I'd say I'm up around 4-500 rounds, and other than the mentioned issues, I'm happy.

I am a Para GI Expert too. I have nothing to complain about. I shot 300-400 rounds of my reloads so far and it's 100% reliable. Bought it used for $500 and it looked like new. I was a little bit afraid of my move since there is a lot of bad reviews on CGN.

Para ltc

I joined the 1911 Forum this morning and if you want to see evaluations on Para's [which they rate quite high] or any other model and make of 1911 it is the site to visit. Oh and i still love my Para LTC 45.

I am going to keep my order gambling on the fact that it has taken so long and will probably take longer to get here. I can sell a rifle or two to offset the costs by then.

Para double stack 45.......no problem with factory or reloads. Mags are also ok. Would I buy another one, from my experience..............yes. All pistols have problems, look on the 1911 forum and you will see your fair share of caustic venom about other brands. Mine was a good experience, some others might differ, that's life.

Oh, if money is scarce, take care of you and your family first.

I've had a Para Stianless LTD 14-45 for over ten years. I'm not into handguns as much as rifles, but it's a nice gun and never had feeding issues with factory ammo. Some of my handloads when I started loading for it didn't chamber properly, but they did feed.

It goes bang and is accurate, finish is fine, operates fine...Maybe I just got lucky?

My Para LTC is only a year old and no problems.

I also bought a GI expert. No complants about the gun, The factory mags on the other hand were garbage. Had nothing but stopages until i got some real nice ones form dalask. pistol works perfect now. 500 plus rnds and no stopages since the mag change. It was well worth the $600 i spent.

Anyone else get a stoppage with the slide locked back, last round in the mag pointing straight up in the air? That's happened to me twice now, but as I say only with my reloads. It's run 100% with the admittedly limitted amount of factory ammo I use.
