I've done a search under Leupold and rimfire but am still uncertain.
I'm seriously contemplating buying an Anschutz 64MPR.
It will be for casual shooting off the bench at mostly 50 yds.
and 100 yds. on the odd occassion.
The Leupold VX-ll AO Target has caught my eye.
It comes as a target version with a target dot sight.
The VX-lll EFR Target looks good,but..yow...we're getting into big bucks.
I want target turrets, target dot reticle and AO.
I want a nice scope on this rifle and I only want to do it once.

Sounds like you know what you want. Don't worry, you'll forget the price on the way home. If the cost doesn't sting a little you're cheaping out

Lef T,
If my Kimber SVT .22 deserves the VXIII EFR 6.50-20x then don't you think that 64mpr deserves one too? :D

You know which one you want ;)

For my much lower priced Ruger 10/22 target, I'll be putting a Falcon Menace 4-14x 44mm on it with the Mp20 reticle. It has parallex that goes down to rimfire ranges. The reviews have been excellent.

I have bought two of these and they work extremely well, one with target turrets and target dot for paper punching and one with the regular hunting turrets and fine plex reticle. They are great for moving different ranges and then moving them back to zero. Both are the VX-II 6-18X

I also bought a VX-III 6.5-20X for varmint hunting but not the EFR model and when I try to shoot 25 yards or less with it the crosshairs go fuzzy. I tried to cheap out and buy one VX-III but it did not work.

I think I'm going to go with the VXll 6x18x40
with the target dot site.
For shooting mainly 50 yds. and the occassional 100 yd.
I can,t see a justification in the VXlll.
Yeah,give me a VXll please.
