Hi,

I have been looking for some good quality 30 round, pined to 5 rounds, steel STANAG magazines but have had no luck. Everything I come across is cheap junk, although the price is seldom cheap.

I'm not looking for magpul polymer magazines.

Do any of you know where I can order some quality mags?

Thanks

D&H supply aluminum mags to the US and Canadian military, they're good to go. The majority of AR mags are alumininum and in the past steel mags have probably been some of the worst ones out there, HK being one of the exceptions.

No kidding! Just before the P-mag craze started it seemed the stainless C-Product mags were the best swag out there, I saw something like 1 in 10 C-product mag fail spectacularly. Sold all mine off lickty split when the P-mags started rolling in.

Its the reasons I would like to hear. Short of the "authentic" look or collector reasons, there are none. Pmags are the standard.

PMAGs are not true to STANAG spec.
But I heard the newest revision have sorted out some of those compatibly issues.

It is for different rifles, not my AR's which do not run well with the Pmags and cause damage to the rifles unless modifications on done to them. The new Pmag 30 M3 should fix that issue, although they are not out yet. I look forward to trying them out once they are released.

I agree with you the Pmags are great and I love them in an AR. I also just simply like to try out different options, switch it up and see what else it out there. It's fun for me.

Okay, great.
