Quality STANAG Magazines?

The majority of AR mags are alumininum and in the past steel mags have probably been some of the worst ones out there, HK being one of the exceptions.

Exactly. Good steel mags are hard to find because almost all professional armies that use the AR use them with aluminum mags. Steel is very much the exception, not the rule. As a result, most of the steel ones you see are aftermarket designs of unproven quality.

I saw some truly excellent mags, they were supplied with a Tavor and marked IWI - beautiful quality - maybe drop a line to Can Am, incidently they ARE stanag mags, not AR mags.

Yeah I tried them, they didn't get any mags in with their most recent shipment.

It is for different rifles, not my AR's which do not run well with the Pmags and cause damage to the rifles unless modifications on done to them. The new Pmag 30 M3 should fix that issue, although they are not out yet. I look forward to trying them out once they are released.

I agree with you the Pmags are great and I love them in an AR. I also just simply like to try out different options, switch it up and see what else it out there. It's fun for me.

I've read that P-mags may have issues with feed lips widening if they are stored loaded for log periods of time? I know that's why they come with dust covers, but who wants mess with that? Can anyone comment on this?

Magpul has had loaded magazines for over 2 years with zero feed lip creep, and that's without the covers. Keep in mind aluminum mags and likely steel mags will experience the same issues.
