Quarantine Reloading Diary

Reloaded the 300 9mm I shot the other day. Now I am out of brass again.

I also built 50 6.5 CM with shiny new Lapua brass.

Well, thought I'd bring this back up. Had a 5 day weekend and got a bunch of stuff done around the house. It's still cold and windy here... (-10C with 35km/h winds) so I haven't the desire to go to the range.

I did go out to a neighbor's pasture and sighted in my new scope and 22-250. Shot a couple gophers while I was there.

As for reloading, only 200 more 9mm. I hope my order comes in soon. I'm running low on powder and projectiles.

5, 000 .223 full length sized and now primed.
Another 5, 000 .223 that were already processed now primed too.

Next work day is playing with a scale and adjusting a powder measure.

Cranked out 500 223 when I had a spare hour. I'm looking well stocked for some summer shooting. Going to order some 308 brass and get a stockpile of loaded rounds for the MK7. Then add to the 9mm stash when my tenda order arrives

Started getting busy reloading again after years off.....havent' got much done yet. Projects are working up a load for .270 win - 110gr. TTSX and some 58gr. Vmax for 243 win.

So far, hundred 6BR, aboit the same of 6x47. Couple hundred 223, and 222 RM. Few hundred 308, separated by bullet weight and type. Will finish the 308 (I hope, I have a couple crates of federal match brass to process) soon, and then put my Dillon back together and start on handgun stuff. Would like to load some 10 and 12 gauge too, but need more components. Also did another 100 6mm Rem AI and some 7 SAUM. One thing about being quarentined, you get to stock up. - dan

Did some small batches of 45LC, 44 Sp and Mag.

Currently working on 38 and 357.

I got some 12ga target loads to finish up.

Then I don’t know what to do with myself.

Completed 10K of .223 for sizing and priming two weeks ago and then went inot a slump.
Reluctance to start experimenting with powder measure and seating.

Finally got a start yesterday figuring out how to deal with the powder measure.
I limited myself to trying 100 rounds the first go.
Spent the next few hours fiddling with a busted electronic micrometer and lost my mind.
My brother lent a hand with an old dial micrometer and I had my first hundred rounds finally loaded in no time.

Now I am all giddy.
9,900 to go.

I did up 300 .357 a few days ago, prepped all my 6.5x55 and have been slowly prepping 500 300 blackout brass. I found some of the IVI stuff that was sold a while ago and the primer crimp has been a huge pain. I'm swaging and reaming because too many primers were getting squished with just running them through the swager. Aggravating.

Anyone else using the quarantine time to go through their benches and do a great big clean? I had so much junk floating around in there.

Well yesterday I decided to say enough is enough. Have over 300 Lee one oz slugs loaded. Have to look for something else to reload. Problem is I was all set for this seasons shooting so most of what I have is reloaded.

Only thing left is my 30-06.

Built a lot of little things to facilitate reloading. Probably can think of a few more things to make.

4,600 223 done.
Started another 500 of the 223 and switched powder to 4198.

Note to self,,,buy ball powder if possible,,,.
