Just curious if others have watched any of the Quarter minute magnum videos? A quirky fellow for sure but he seems to make some damn good shooting rifles.

Minus this 33XC he is having issues with -_-.

Cheers,

I have not watched the whole video, but my guess is that he has an ignition issue. Weak spring, striker dragging in the bolt, cocking piece dragging in the trigger, over-travel set too close, excessive firing pin protrusion, all things which can cause vertical dispersion, which is mostly what I'm seeing. I'll speed watch the rest (just get to the point, Buddy!), and see what he comes up with.

First video I saw from him. Some patience. I know from my German rifle builder friends who use Lothar Walther Barrels that they come across a bad barrel every now and then, best is to not waste time and fit another. Send the duff one back. Often the manufacturer does not know either why some barrels just don't shoot. For my rifles I have a very short tolerance for a barrel that does not shoot from the start. Just had a 300wm factory barrel replaced on a remmy after less than 50 rounds although she printed a tight group every now and then. Life is too short.

I have had a chance to watch a couple more videos. He is definitely a quirky fellow. He has some good information and builds decent rifles. I find it interesting to watch and listen to the reasons why he uses one of another for manufacture of parts.

I do agree with you EJG

Its always interesting to find different sources of information.

I see he basically came up with nothing so far. I'll have to watch another to see what he finds. As long as I can fast forward, I can do it!
