Quebec Provincials

Shot the match on Friday and I want to thank the Quebec crew for putting on a great match....like usual. Saturday I RO'ed and it was a pleasure to work with the IPSC Que officials. We had quite a number of activator targets and they worked hard to keep everything running smooth. Thanks again and see you next year.

Mike

Thanks to all the hard working folks who put this fine match together and ran it. Everything ran smoothly and the stages were all interesting and challenging...as always. It was great working with the R.O. crew on stage 10 as well. The whole thing seemed to tick along like clock work.

Well done everyone!

so according to the results, when merged properly and PD shooters still be scored Minor, JP would have won Standard as well eh? hmmmm

Sure. But that is because QC crew didn't put any far targets like those at the nationals. :D

Though I really wonder how JP shoot stage 4...

wow,...impressive, looks like the Nationals results were no one broke 90% with JP in production.

JP so far is everything that is right in IPSC as a shooter..
He is approachable, hardworking, dedicated and a young professional. CRAFM's team is coming on strong and I am happy for those who work hard. JP Kind of reminds me of a Standard Shooter a few years back. Mike B. I think JP if he keeps his training up will be the same to Production as Mike B. is to Standard.
Well done both of you.

ah, I just watched Euxx's video, nice stages. very nice stages. but where is your video of stage 4?

More specifically, from what position did JP shot the steel on Stage 4? Video of that would be nice too. :)

Sorry, I don't have any video from that match. I shot the mini-popers on stage four from the back. I believe it was a lot faster as long as you get your hits. I took two extra shots(on the first steel and then remembered to watch my front sight:p and went 7 from 7) but it was still faster than runing all the way to the end.

Thanks Jonh, very nice words here. You can believe me though that no matter how far I get into this sport, I'm still gonna be approchable, hardworking, dedicated and professional(I won't stay young for a long time though) no matter what. Mike is the perfect type of pro shooter to me and if I ever reach the same level as him, that's how I want people to see me as well.

Thanks for the explanation, JP. I've got much less confidence and got convinced myself that I will do a better splits on those poppers from the down range, which turned out a best strategy for me, so I run and made 79.16% of your score and about 6.5 seconds slower then you and now I can see where those 6.5 seconds went.

PS: btw, thanks again for helping me with the holster on Sunday, appreciate that

JP, are you shooting at the Triangle this year? I'm planning on heading out to it again. And then the MIC in January I hope too. Gonna have to get you to give me some tips this time ;)

I don't think I'm gonna shoot the Triangle. I'm going to Dalhousie this week-end for the Summer Slam and then to Texas at the beggining of October to shoot the Area 4. After that, my plan was to put the rig away for a few months, pretty much until the MIC, and only shoot the local matches just for fun. I won't be practicing for a few months in order to focuss more on my physical condition and some other skills required in IPSC that you don't practice on the range. I also want to stop practicing a bit to feel that burning desire of shooting again when the next season will be approaching. At least that's what my plan was. Am I gonna stick to it? That's a different story!

But I'm gonna shoot the MIC for sure and I hope you will as well. It was very nice last year and I'm sure it will be this year too. We should try to shoot all on Friday with Phil, Simon, Pascal, Dom, Oli and all the guys so that we can go out Friday and/or Saturday and/or Sunday:cheers: I don't think I have a lot of tips for you though. I still have a lot of things to learn and because I beated you(once) doesn't mean that I can not learn more things from you. I am still(or at least I hope I am) on my lurning curve so every tips or advices are still welcome. I have a long way to go before the World in 2011 and I want to put some pressure on Adam so I have a lot of hard work to do. But I'm defenitly gonna put the efforts in and we'll see for the rest.

oh yeah stick me in the all French squad, hmm maybe then I'll actually learn some!. Phil, definitely in for the room, thanks.
watching you develop as a shooter is awesome dude. As John mentioned you've got everything that's needed, and you are well on your way. You've gone from new to awesome in an incredibly short amount of time. Watching you grow over the next couple of years is going to be interesting.
