Hmmmm They already do IPSC. I shot a great level III match in Montreal in Jan.
Mind you they are hobbled by the stupid rules over there.

IPSC -3 match every month all winter long and almost 2 every month during the summer
one IPSC shotgun/RIFLE match in may at ACPL
we do multi-gun/3 gun match at my club but it is invitational only -restricted to people i've know that can be safe
no IDPA not enough people interested to get structurized
Still lots of PPC , i think evrery month of the summer and couple indoor during winter
there's a cowboy league in ACPL all summer long--
