This is a question for anyone who might have insider information in the firearms importation and retail industry.

Does anyone know if anybody is trying to bring in SKS detachable magazines right now?

I haven't heard whether the new owners of TAPCO have got any of their tooling back up and running, but ProMag is still operating and perhaps someone could be persuaded to to pin some of their mags to 5 rds?

I'll lead off with what little I know. If anyone has even beard of a Russian SKS magazine manufacturer named PufGun... There's almost certainly nothing coming from that quarter.
I have it on good authority from a retailer that was trying to set up a relationship with them that they were unresponsive and seemed interested in expanding into the Canadian market

There are businesses bringing in Promag sks magazines monthly. But they are not site sponsors. PM me if you really want to know.

Also, there is a mod to OEM mags to make them removable. Takes a few min with a grinder and drill. You lose a few ounces compared to Tapco but on the other hand they take up half the space. My LGS has about a dozen OEM left for $30+tx. and Tapco for $50+tx. - I bought some Ts last year when they were $40.

There are Tapco mags at several sponsor's sites, run about $50 each - let your fingers ... see my post above. Got mine last year cheaper.
