There's some rumour going around that you must be in possession of the LAR-15 Pistol to have possession of these mags.

There's a rumour that Elvis is still alive too. Doesn't make it true.

You can possess any magazine without owning a matching gun. For example, you can posses magazines that go in a Ruger P89 but only own a Ruger PC9. No problem. I own a few P7M10 mags, but have never touched that particular HK handgun. No problem.

We're jumping at our own shadows. It's true that we have to follow the law, but so do the authorities.

Someone Pppppllllleeeeaaaassseeeeee lock these 10rnd AR mag threads before I puke....:puke:

Best remain silent and have people think you a fool than speak and prove it so...

So I got two packages this morning. One had two C Products 5/30 Lanced magazines and the other from CRAFM had 5 of my 10 rounders. Loaded up the car and headed down to the club. When trying to load the magazines they all loaded very easy, no issues getting the 10th round inside. Anyways...

The CProds worked great, loaded on a closed bolt and held the bolt back on the last shot and are great mags.

On the other hand, the 10 rounders had a few issues. They were a little hard to get into the mag well. I really had to give it one hard slap to get it fully seated, but it did close on a closed bolt very well. My only issues and the one thing that pissed me off was that alot of the time it was not holding the bolt open after the last round. Near the end one or two of them were holding it open on the last bullet but the others were not. Maybe they just need to be worked in more. I put out 200 rounds down today and will put another few hundred in a few days.

Double sided tape, good for a temp solution until I figure if I want to commit two magazines to that. It works pretty well, and when and if I do it I would either rivet the two baseplate's together, or glue it.

I placed an order for 10 from Target Sports a week ago but still haven't heard back from them.
Might have to give CRAFM a call tomorrow.

I ordered from Target Sports as well, but have not heard anything?

Has anyone got theirs from Target Sports?

awesome pics scotty!

Have you guys already paid at TS? CRAFM seemed to be on the ball so I gave them a call today. Sounded like they'll be shipped tomorrow!

Picked up 9 of 'em from TS today... Went to the range to test 'em out.
Weak spings need to be improved/replaced.
Very inconsistant when it comes to activating the bolt hold open...
Somewhat disappointed, but we'll keep 'em. Maybe canniblize some springs outta some old 20-30 round mags...

the mag is probably the stamped outer shell with the pistol designation on it.

C-Products has indicated that a few "defective" springs may have "slipped through by accident" into our last batch of magazines. This would expain why a small percentage of the magazines are experiencing problems with the bolt hold open. In the magazines that we tested we have found one or two that were suspect.

The manufacturer has assured us that they will replace the springs on any that are an issue... if you received one of these magazines (that experiences a problem with the bolt not holding open because of a weak spring) then please contact me and we'll put you on a list to receive replacement springs.

Send an e-mail (not a PM) to Sales@Questar.ca

Include your name, address, phone and e-mail info, copy of your sales invoice and an indication of how many defective springs you have.

Once we have a total number of affected mags C-Products will ship us the replacements for distribution.

Most of the shipment is not affected by this issue but there apparently were a small number of incorrect springs that slipped in. Our apologies.

Mark

So which part of these mags is the mag? I have some ideas on how I want to modify one.

The magazine body is considered the magazine... not the follower, spring or base/floorplate, those are component parts.
