Hey, just wanted to get some thoughts on PSIG 226's that Questar are getting in soon.

I'm thinking of putting deposit on one and was wondering if it's a good deal for $899. The model is p226-9-b....is this good?

I'm either getting the SIG or a Norinco M14 from Marstar. Any feedback would be great.

im guessing it comes with the standard sight , blued . Basic model to sum it up . Im hesitating between the crimson trace 226 and this one . But for some reason all the crimson trace sigs have dissapeared from there website . Is it still available ? and for 400$ u get the CT grips and night sights ... worth it ??

P226R is a great gun. Keep in mind IIRC that is a cash price, not a CC. I don't know what the markup for credit cards are.

The stock SIG sights are pretty iffy, lots of people including myself have issues shooting good groups but because of the "dot the i" setup lots of people have vertical drift. Trijicon 3 dot night sights solved that problem for me.

credit card markup's are usually 3-5% to cover the fee that credit card companies charge them, frankly I always pay questar via EMT straight thru my bank and it is painless :)

so $899 + 3% = $926
$899 + 5% = $944
and I am not even sure questar charges a CC fee... does anyone know for sure ? either way still an awesome price for a new sig p226r

Yup, at least I did recently get charged for a 3% credit card recovery fee from questar

I don't know anything about sigs.
What kind of forging is the slide/frame?

This deal has interested myself as well.

Go to the SIGARMS USA website... all the models are listed there, in detail and they show which are steel, aluminum, etc..

There is a coding to their part numbers that tell you what the gun is... all those letters and numbers after the 226 tell you stuff about the specific model/version and features.

All new Sigs come with a one piece stainless steel slide and an alloy frame except for the "ST" models which have a stainless frame as well. Not long ago "CPO", Certified Pre Owned Sigs were selling in the $800 dollar range so this is an excellent price for a NIB model. For everything you ever wanted to know about Sigs check out "Sig forum".
