Besides the Browning BLR, are there any other lever action 22-250's out there? Any current models? Any recently discontinued? I have a friend who would like to try and find one, but does not want a BLR - he had one and got rid of it.

I'll likely put this same question in the exchange forum soon, but I'd I'd like to find out of they even exist before doing so.

Thanx in advance.

Other Makers of .22-250 Lever Action Rifles?

Never heard of one... unless maybe someone did a custom job on a Savage 99 or a Win 88 at some point in time...

I think Savage made some 99s in .22-.250. Numrich had surplus barrels for sale at one time. Maddog would be the one to ask.

22-250

I've rebarreled a few 99 Savages to 22-250 and they worked fine.Generally a Savage 99 will outshoot a Browning any day of the week. The same prcess could be done with a Winchester 88 from 308 Win or similar and it would make a nice rifle as well.

So I guess in simple terms, unless my buddy wants to spend a small fortune (if he can find 1), there are none.

In the past he has owned a BLR and he currently has a bolt (not sure which make / model), so I guess he has to make do with that.

HornHunter has a 99c in a 22-250 pretty cool little rifle:)

I think Savage only chambered the 22-250 in the 99c model.

They are a great rifle but the 22-250 is rare.

Spend some time looking for one and if you can find one I am sure you won't be disappointed!
