Not really sure.
I was wondering if the .25 and .32ACP ammunition is classed as prohibited ammunition is Canada, or is it just the Firearms the chamber it?.

Also what kind of ballistic performace do these cartridges put out, I often hear the .22 rim fire is more lethal then the .25acp for example.

Cheers guys.

No the ammo is just ammo.

The .22LR has better ballistics, but the .25ACP feeds better in pistols and so can be considered more reliable. It's rimless and has a round nose FMJ bullet.

The .32ACP was a very popular police cartridge in europe, also popular for defense partly because the guns chambered for that caliber tend to be very compact. Example: Walther PPK.

Very James Bond-ish.:)

2 cents.

Also, centerfire ignition is much more reliable then rimfire....there are so many sweet little .32's...........:)

Yeah I wish we were alowed to own them, I'v been looking at them all and they are some very slick looking little rigs.

I like the new Kel-tek .32's. So tiny and thin but so cool.

Call your MP and ask him why you can't have one! Make him go to the justice department and get an anwser then call you back and explain it to you!

There is no ballistic reason why .32 and .25's should be illegal. It's just plain stupidity - I guess they wanted to ban the PPK type pocket pistols and decided to ban the common calibers of those pistols too.

A 32APC PPK is a fun little gun to shoot, and people should be able to own them. But its not like you are missing out in terms of ballistics - there is nothing special about these calibers.
