So I'm going to be building my first precision rifle (hell... my first bolt gun) and have done quite a bit of research. I'm planning on going with a Remington 5R or 700p. Anyways, I found a store that has the 5R for $1100. Now, what's a bit odd is they sell the 700p for more- $1225. Wutsup with this? I was under the assumption the 5R was a couple hundred more... are there different models of the 5R?

700P is most likely new inventory and the 5R is old inventory.
A quick check on the Remington site should tell you if there is a difference in pricing.
