Question about a bear skin

I picked up a road kill bear cub this spring(about 25lbs) and didn't have the time or money to take it to a taxidermist. I skinned it but left the skull and paws in because i don't know how to do them properly, then salted everything I could and through it in the freezer(all within probably 1.5-2 hours of being hit). Would it still be good to get a mount done or a hat made if its possible?
Edit: I'm in the Ottawa area if anyone knows a cheap taxidermist/someone learning.

Salting and throwing directly in the freezer kinda defeats the purpose...I suspect the hide may be garbage. If you can freeze right away...don't salt.

Can I freeze the hide until it's time to have it done?

Make sure it's a chest freezer, not the one part of your fridge, they don't get cold enough.

I just went through this debate today, for my first bear today, And froze it with no salt.

YOu can soak it in salt water for a few weeks... Use non iodized salt... Iodized salt can make a hazardous condition with some tanning agents...
