I had an older pistol handed down to me after my father-in-law passed. I don't know much about it and would like some information from those who may.
Make: H Schmidt Ostheim/Rhoem
Model: 21
Caliber: 22LR
Made In: West Germany
S/N: 485800
Markings: A brass circle inlay on the wooden grip with a Buffalo and the letter "LA" above it.
Below the cylinder, on the left side frame are the letters "HS" in a circle, followed by 4.69
On the bottom of the grip is stamped " LA Distributors New York City, N.Y."
Would like to know when it was made, a possible value and are they a good shooting pistol (wouldn't mind a revolver plinker.)
Thanks.
