I haven`t yet started to anneal my brass. They are 22-250 Winchester brass. Not sure of how many reloads I`ve done on them. I cleaned a pile today and in the past I`ve seen split necks, today I noticed 6 shells that didn`t have split necks, but look like they have splits in the shoulder. Is this from stretching, old brass, lack of annealing? Will annealing help stop this? Yes I do realize that brass won`t last a lifetime, but would like to know more of this cause. Thanks,Darcy
