Question about Classic Green or SG 550

Hi, i'm new on this forum and i'm not sure this should be on this section but i'll ask anyway. I've recently parted ways with my vintage car, decided to finally make the jump and realize a dream on mine to finally own guns. Finalized my demand for the acquisition permit and I was looking around the web to see what was available in Canada for purchase and stumbled upon a Swiss arms rifle available for purchase. Seeing that the SIG series is probably one of my favourite battle rifle I went looking around to see if there where any better price than the one on the site. To my horror I found out that these rifle where going to be banned or something the arcticle I saw weren't to clear on that !

Can someone clarify this for me ?

Is it legal to purchase one of these rifle with a restricted firearm license or a normal one ? and if they are banned is there versions that are not ?
If I purchase the one I saw on the site will I have to give it away in a year or something ?
 
The Swiss Arms are now legal to own again as either Non Restricted or Restricted dependant on length of the barrel.
They were prohibited last year arbitrarily (sort of arbitrarily) by the RCMp after many years of being deemed not prohibited by the RCMP.

The CPC has fixed that so they are now no longer prohibited and can be owned and used once again.
