Hey,
So I got my PAL yesterday :50cal:

Im all excited but also confused now why give me a nice card when I also need to carry a stupid paper around. Now if I had some wiered conditions asociated with my PAL/RPAL it might make sense, but why do i need to carry a paper that says I need to notify them of an address change with in 30 days. Am I special or something. Or is this just another circle :jerkit: from our gov?

I just threw mine in the recycling. It is bad enough that I have to carry around stupid reg certs I am not carrying around that stupid thing either. If I ever get asked for it they can find it themselves.

Just another thing they can get you on should it ever come to that.

Congratulations, you've just jumped through the first of many, many hoops. It will get easier with time.

So which method does everyone follow, do I now need another paper in my wallet all the time. Or can I get away with leaving it at home?

According to the paper it came with you are supposed to carry it. Whether you can get away with not doing so will depend on the mood of the LEO, CO, or DNR that asks for your papers and notices its absence :D

As unwieldy as the "conditions" are, no doubt on purpose, you're supposed to have them with you. I have a separate "wallet" for all my gun papers in my range bag that always goes with me shooting.

Ditto the wife took hers in the wallet and drags it everywhere but mine lives in the safe with the other paperwork. It travels with the Firearms when they move. I i'm not transporting firearms the slip is irrelevant, correct?

Makes sense to me, but what if u get an urge to buy a gun on a random day with out it and they you could pottentially get screwed with 3 yrs in jail with the minimums for firearms violation :jerkit:

\side note im gonna come check out ur store on saturday

I keep all that stuff in a plastic folder with accordion sections and neat labels for each section. I also have copies done the same way - and bring the copies with me every time I bring my guns anywhere.

Hmmm. I only recall getting 1 piece of paper with my PAL, and that was the piece it was attached to in the envelope............were supposed to keep that?
