Question about converting a cz 858 from restricted to non-restricted

Kind of a weird question but I had a trade offer on my m&p 15 for a restricted cz 858 now I dont mind having firearms that I am only permitted to take out to my range but I was more so looking for something that I could use off range for plinking/ varmint control so I was wondering if anyone has gotten a gunsmith to replace the barrel with a non restricted length barrel. A bit of a shot in the dark but any help would be appreciated as I am not incredibly knowledgeable about the 858 platform.

AFAIK the CZ 858 barrels are pressed in to the receiver which makes a barrel swap difficult (can't just unthread it like an AR or most other rifles). Also, a custom NR barrel for the CZ will likely be expensive if you can even find a gunsmith that has the tools to take the project on.

Fair enough I figured it would be fairly difficult. I guess the question now is if i did snag the rifle where is a great place to source ammunition

Dlask Arms can do this for you, or there is also a semi retired gun smith on here doing barrel swaps, last I heard he has a working 6.5 Grendal conversion.

Hmmmm that could just be more interested in the 858...
