Got a question for those that are using a dillon 650 or 1050, how well do extruded powders like IMR4064 measure? Do you find that there is minimal variation our do you prefer to use a shorter cut powder?

At one time (1992) I loaded .223 match ammo for a custom AR 15 using my Dillon 1050, and measure, using H4895 and had no problems. That rifle would shoot into 1/2" at 100 yds with match ammo and 36X B & L scope.

The Dillon measures have always been more than adequate in my experience.

Cheers

powder

I use IMR 4198 in my 550 and it feeds great. It is a fairly long, extruded powder. It will also shoot 1/2" groups.

thanks for the replies. I was just wondering as that sometimes when using a lyman measure if the pellets lined up right it was it was a real crunch to close and dispense the powder.
