Question about Garands and Mosins

My 'merican cousin dropped off the radar; so nothing recent but about 3-4 years ago , SVT's were going for at least double what they are worth here.
It's just supply and demand, guys. I got 2 M-39's & an m96 Swede off him for 750 $, maybe 4 years ago. M-39's are not anything special down there. Or perhaps they weren't is a more accurate term.

Thanks for clarifying. I suspected supply and demand, never realized they only made so few Garands! Band Of Brothers eh? What about Enemy At The Gates? That's some fine shooting with a Mosin, no?

Remember, first it was Saving Private Ryan (1998). Since Saving Private Ryan, there have been a flood of WW2 US Military Movies, Video Games and TV Series. Each time another movie, game or series hits the market, the demand for Garands, Springfields, Lee Enfields, Thompsons, Stens, and many other WW2 Firearms goes up and so do the prices. From what I have been told, Garands were selling for $250-$400 IN 1995! have a look at the list...
