Question about LTATT application

Ok, so I made a little mistake on my LTATT application. I filled out the application before I actually got my restricted license in hand but after I talked to the lady at the BC CFO saying that the license had been issued and that my number stays the same. So.. My license # has 8 digits then .0001. I filled it out as that on my application. When I got my restricted license, the same first 8 digits were the same but then it says .0002 Is this a big mistake or would they be able to figure it out do you think? I upgraded and the .0001 showed on my non-restricted only license (my old one). Thanks

Is that even a part of the number? I bought a hand gun today and gave the lady on the phone the first 8 digits and that seemed fine. Mine has the .0001 as well.

how long did it take for all you guys to get your LTATTs after you mailed them off?

I think it took a month when I did it...Seemed to take as long as the PAL itself IIRC. However that was three years ago, so it is likely different now.

My most recent experience was last spring when I moved. Simple change of address on my LTATT took almost six weeks. I sure hope the wait time for you is better than that! Realistically though, I would think that you will find it will take somewhere between the two.

Maybe someone with more recent experience with the BC CFO will chime in...

I faxed the forms in yesterday, I'll ley you know when I recieve it.

BTW, what IS the LTATT going to be?? A card similar to my licence?

Printed on paper, just like the registration certificates.:)

I don't know what those look like either. ;)

Man, I hope it doesn't take two weeks, my restricted transfer just got denied, they sent me a letter. I hope they approve my LTATT ASAP!

Called it into the Alberta CFO's office (last June I believe). Was asked for personal info, PAL number, range membership (had to fax that to them).
Got LTATT on our fax at work the next day. :D

Anybody done one in AB recently???

I faxed my LT ATT in to the BC CFO on Thursday, and received my LT ATT in the mail the folowing Tuesday. I thought that was pretty quick Now if we could just get registration certificates to come that fast.

For the amount of money spent on Canada's gun registry program, I would have expected to have been issued a plastic card for a Long-Term ATT, instead of what looks like a poor quality photocopy, especially since they require you bring the original copy with you any time you transport a restricted firearm over the next 4 or 5 years.

"I thought that was pretty quick Now if we could just get registration certificates to come that fast."

How long do those typically take?

I never pay attention to the reg cert, because the guns always arrive way before it does and that's all that counts :D
