I have an older MEC 600 Jr 12ga reloading press. I was wondering if I can buy a new set of 20ga dies and use the same press for loading 20ga shells? I no longer require to reload 12ga shells. Is it hard to set up the dies? Thanks.

No problem to convert. Might take you a hour and a bit of time to adjust your crimps etc.
Now there are three models of 600 JR and each die set is slightly different so you have to make sure what yours is and order the right set.
There is a pre 82, a 82-85 and 85 and after set up. Look at the drawings on the mec site to confirm.
I just sold a bunch of 12ga and 20ga die sets for the older machines pre 82. Might have one left but not sure in 20ga.

I used to convert mine all the time, 12 ga to 20 ga to 410. Once you get it figured out no big deal. Since you say you no longer need 12 ga, I would go for it. Once set up just sit down and load.
